Film Dump Friday 001

Welcome to Film Dump Friday! A place for us to share our favorite rolls of film with you. You may be asking yourself, “why are these guys shooting film in 2020 when digital cameras exist?” That’s a great question. The quality of digital cameras these days is insane, and they are crucial to our business, but there’s a few aspects of film that we love too much to leave it in the past - the look, the process, and the community. We will be writing more in-depth on those topics in the coming #filmdumpfriday rolls!

This roll of Fuji Superia 400 was shot over the the last month or so with a Nikon L35AF point & shoot. It’s a great little camera for those in between moments. The first twelve photos were shot on a two-day camping trip up north island. It was great to get out of service and just enjoy the beauty of creation around us. Next are a couple photos of Lorne who shapes surfboards for a living. We’re creating a short film on his story which we’re stoked to release sometime next month! Finally, I popped the flash on and fired off a few of Alex in a stump, and our good friends getting married.

p.s. this will probably be a bi-weekly thing since we don’t shoot enough film.
